Your board and community will post updates. If there’s any community wide announcements that you’d like to see or make, please let us know via the Contact form. Hello Berkeley Neighbors,
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and looking forward to our upcoming Halloween celebration. As we move towards the end of the year, I wanted to give everyone a 3rd quarter financial update. During the months of July, August and September we spent $1800 on our lawn maintenance in our common areas and an additional $921 on utilities. We are also ready to begin to replace the street signs in the neighborhood. Jason Smith has spent a considerable amount of time finding the right company for the job and the work should begin soon. Final expense will be about $10,000. We have also just paid $867 for decorative lighting that will be up during the holiday season. Finally, we still have the upcoming expense of painting all the sign and light posts. Dues are continuing to come in but we still have over 100 families in our neighborhood that have not paid. If you are one of those families we would really appreciate your support. Dues can be paid at the link given below. Keep in mind that we have 2 of our favorite events of the year coming up in the next few months. These are free events for members of the HOA. Halloween will be celebrated with a block party and pizza at 5 pm on 10/31 at the corner of Hollybrook and Kincross. And in December we will celebrate the holidays with our Festival of Lights. More details to come.
On a final note, I think most neighbors are aware that fiber is coming. I’m sure there are a lot of mixed feelings….yes, it will probably cause a mess….but YIPEEE..fiber!!!!!!!! Just to head off any questions, the HOA has nothing to do with it…nor can we do anything to change it. If you have a specific problem you will need to address it with the company that is doing the installation. If we end up with any neighborhood wide information/concerns we will share them. In the meantime, mark your sprinkler heads and take pictures of what you have done.
Happy Fall…and please reach out if you have any questions,
Lee Sugg,
HOA Treasurer
